The Laurens County Board of Commissioners approved a renewed lease with the State Properties Commission on July 21, 2026 for the county’s Driver’s License Facility.
County Administrator Bryan Rogers told the Board the State had asked for several facility improvements; staff revised the renewal to include a 2% increase each year in the rental rate and to require painting, flooring improvements and light replacement. Commissioner Kevin Tanner moved to approve the rental agreement; Commissioner Trae Kemp seconded and "all voted in favor." The Board recorded no conditions beyond the stated improvements and rent increase in the meeting transcript.
County staff and the State Properties Commission are expected to coordinate scheduling for the improvements following the approval.
