Mayor Claire Anderson opened a special and regular meeting March 17 and the council moved quickly through procedural business before handling appointments. Vice Mayor (speaker 5) moved to appoint Michael Busolenic to the vacant alternate planning‑commission seat; Council Member Long seconded the motion and the council approved it by roll call.
City Administrator Rosanna told the council the vacancy remained after a March 10 interview process and that applications were on file for council review. There was no public comment on the appointment and the motion passed unanimously. The mayor thanked those who applied and commended committee volunteers for their service.
The appointment was presented as a routine staffing matter; staff noted the city will continue to recruit for other committee openings and encouraged residents to apply when positions are posted.
