Member reports telehealth prenatal care and high postpartum depression rates on Moloka‘i

Niess also said postpartum depression rates are high on Moloka‘i and are "at least partially attributable to the isolation of the island and logistic difficulties for follow up care." The committee noted the service gaps and the need to consider telehealth, referral networks, and possible conference content addressing maternal mental health for island residents.
