Students and staff honored at GUNTER ISD recognition night

Staff member opened the recognition portion of the meeting and introduced April and May Students of the Month, naming winners including Finley Kirby and Hazel Ann Weather and praising individual qualities. "Finley is smart, creative, funny, and a natural leader," the staff member said, and the recognitions noted leadership, grit and classroom citizenship across multiple grade levels.

The presentation also singled out staff contributions. The presenter named Suzanne Bertheen for leadership and campus impact and highlighted Morgan Lorenzini as the district's instructional‑technology lead by title. Multiple colleagues provided examples of Lorenzini's work: "She goes above and beyond with a smile on her face, and she's a pleasure to be around," one colleague said. The recognitions included brief remarks about Rachel Ray and other technology‑department staff and closed with an invitation for photo opportunities.
