Staff presented the library's annual report and described a series of operational changes and upcoming launches. The presentation reviewed recent staffing changes, a city accounting system migration planned for Dec. 1 and rollout of Microsoft Shifts for staff scheduling. On service hours, staff told the board the library will add Sunday hours starting Jan. 4: "we'll be open on Sundays, January 4th."
Staff also described work to automate interlibrary loan requests online and a plan to stagger new processes while a staff member returns from medical leave. Board members acknowledged the workload and offered to support outreach for the Sunday-hours rollout through the foundation and board presence on opening Sundays.
