Sheridan County moves to seek federal funds for larger airport snow-removal equipment

Sheridan County commissioners on May 19 authorized submission of a revised federal assistance application to acquire a larger snow removal loader and plow for the Sheridan County Airport after airport staff determined the original equipment would be undersized.
Airport Manager Robert Gill said the project has support from the state and FAA, and that funding identified for the purchase includes $514,655 from the Federal Aviation Administration, $13,544 from WYDOT Aeronautics and an additional $13,544 from the airport capital improvement budget to cover engineering and administrative costs. Commissioner Mike Arzy moved to approve the application and the motion passed unanimously.
