Residents complain of selective enforcement as board hears recurring trailer, boat and parking cases

In AI 29, respondent Catherine Gerdau said officers left a notice on her garage and did not ring the doorbell, and that the vehicle and trailer were on site only temporarily for remodeling work. "They put it on your garage, and then they leave. They don't ring a doorbell," she told the board.
City staff repeatedly responded that officers followed noticing procedures and that other properties the respondent referenced were being written up. Court officer Marconi summarized the case history and told the board the current notice dated March 3, 2026, showed the property was not in compliance at reinspection before being corrected on a later recheck. The board directed staff to proceed with the order in that matter while noting respondents' concerns about communication and enforcement consistency.
