Kenton County superintendent frames 100% transition-ready goal, cites strong extracurricular engagement

Superintendent Henry Webb told a district podcast the Kenton County School District is aiming for "100% transition ready" and an attendance benchmark of 96.25 percent as the new school year approaches. "I'm happy to report we ended last year with about 85% of our 14,000 kids engaged in school whether it be a club or extracurricular activity," Webb said.
Webb framed those targets as part of the district's effort to make sure students leave prepared for their next step. He said the district has expanded offerings to reach more students and highlighted the variety of pathways and programs available, which he tied directly to the transition-ready objective. The podcast also noted the first day of school is Aug. 19.
