Hill City board approves three paraprofessional hires and Indian Education advocate

The Hill City Public School District board approved three staff hires on Jan. 27 under the AFSCME contract. The board voted to hire Alicia Martin as a part-time paraprofessional for the 2024-25 basketball season; Bobbi McNeil as a 1.0 FTE paraprofessional; and Jason Zwierzchowski as the part-time Indian Education Student Advocate. Motions were made and passed unanimously (5-0, 1 absent).
These hires were presented as routine contract-compliant personnel actions. The board also recorded a licensed staff lane change for Jaime Hilton from step/lane 6-2 ($54,262) to step/lane 6-6 ($61,424). The motions to hire and the lane change were moved and seconded as noted in the minutes and recorded as approved by roll call.
