The board moved on multiple personnel items during its November and December meetings. At the Nov. 25 session the board rescinded a previous motion to hire Jonathan Miner (dishwasher/cooks helper and .17 FTE paraprofessional) and then approved the hiring of Susan Kallinen as dishwasher/cooks helper under the AFSCME contract.
The board authorized posting for a 1.0 FTE paraprofessional and for a long‑term school counselor substitute starting in February for the remainder of the 2024–25 school year. The board also approved an increase in game worker payments to $55 per event, $140 per tournament, and $45 per junior high referee.
Motion language recorded in the minutes included: "Approve hiring Susan Kallinen as the dishwasher/cooks helper as per the AFSCME contract." and "Approve to increase game worker payment to $55 per event, $140 per tournament, and $45 per game for JH ref." Those motions passed by roll call vote at the Nov. 25 meeting.
