Superintendent Steve Fisk told the Odessa School Board on May 28 that the district’s General Fund had an ending fund balance of $814,910.56 for April and that the ASB balance sheet had been presented to the board.
Fisk also reported on school events and staffing: Precision Ag Day was "a success with 52 students and 48 adults in attendance" and included representatives from RDO and John Deere; Fisk accompanied a fourth-grade field trip to release fish in Moses Lake. Fisk briefly noted legislative developments with MSOC funds falling short of expectations for the district.
Principal Cori Kane reported the district has received multiple TK/Kindergarten teacher applications, will share information on the Sun Bucks summer meal program with students, and that Solution Tree will provide professional development on Tier 2 instruction on August 26. Athletic activity updates included a sendoff for seven athletes and two coaches headed to state track in Yakima and scheduled summer camps for multiple sports.
