Makanda board adopts 2026 Motor Fuel Resolution for maintenance
Summary
At its May 5 meeting the Makanda Board unanimously adopted the 2026 Motor Fuel Resolution for Maintenance by voice vote; the resolution supports use of Motor Fuel Fund monies for the street work approved the same night.
President Tina Shingleton presented the "2026 Motor Fuel Resolution for Maintenance" to the board and asked for a motion to accept it. Trustee Ross moved to accept the resolution and Trustee Dalton seconded; by voice vote all present at roll call voted yes and the resolution carried.
The playground inspection (IMLRMA) was also distributed in the same portion of the meeting; the clerk reported only minor changes were necessary. The board discussed playground safety briefly before returning to the resolution motion. The resolution is intended to authorize use of Motor Fuel Fund resources for the maintenance program the board approved in the Street & Road Committee report.
