Sycamore House nearly complete; commissioners asked to prepare resolution for ARPA reallocation

Doug Eckert (speaker 10) reported that demolition and framing for the Sycamore House project are essentially complete, with electrical mostly done and plumbing largely finished. He said the project remains on schedule for late August or early September completion and is running under budget, but that the county will not be able to expend all ARPA funds originally allocated to that site.
Eckert asked to reallocate roughly $160,000 of unspent ARPA money to complete a pavilion at 319 Cottage (Scholar House property), finish façade work on the apartment buildings, perform parking-lot repairs and purchase a small amount of furniture. "We should have I think about a $160,000 left is what we think I wind up with," he said. Chair asked staff (Jeff) to prepare a resolution documenting the requested reallocation for the next meeting; commissioners approved having Jeff prepare that resolution by voice vote so the request can be considered formally at the next session.
