Jones' on Nov. 19 with double the number of student participants compared with last year; bus driver Mandy Berg donated her $1,000 reward to the elementary library; and Mr. Gjerstad contributed $3,800 toward an ice cream machine for the concession stand. Staff also provided an update on the Backpack Attack program and said the Read Act program begins on Nov. 11.
Barton Rud reported staff handled a recent high‑school student walkout without incident. The board also received a list of donations accepted in October, including a $9,717.76 Letter Club contribution and numerous smaller gifts and float prizes from community organizations.
