During public comment, Renee Kreemer asked about police presence at the September meeting and urged that Chair Kelly Lemke pay the city invoice of $624.86 for that presence. Chair Lemke said she had requested officers be present. Board member Tanja Levin told the board she had also called for police after receiving a threat that included the phrase 'bloodbath,' and said she would have no problem paying the invoice issued for police presence.
The exchange highlighted concern about safety at recent meetings and who is responsible for associated costs. No formal action was taken at the Oct. 21 meeting beyond the public discussion and the earlier decision to pull specific vouchers for review.
