Council warned of utility authority landfill-driven sanitation increase; possible $27.50 monthly pass-through

"I believe they're approving their budget on the 6th, hopefully, so in 2 days," she said. Chair noted a projected increase of just over $400,000 and reminded the public the earlier revenue meeting discussed a potential $27.50 monthly charge to cover the increase.
Staff said those increased costs are passed on to residents through the sanitation charge. Councilors asked for clarity as staff anticipated the utility authority will finalize numbers, and staff indicated they would include the final figures in upcoming budget documents.
