Fridley School Board approves audit, tax levy and contract changes in unanimous vote

The Fridley School Board convened its business meeting at 7:30 PM on Dec. 17, 2024 at the Fridley Community Center and proceeded through a series of routine and substantive actions. In votes recorded in the minutes the board approved the 2023–24 audit, certified the Pay 25 tax levy, accepted gifts for Community Education and approved a contract with the Center for Effective School Operations; each roll-call motion passed unanimously, with the official notation "Motion carried 5-0."
Superintendent Lewis introduced the principal team to review building-level cell-phone procedures and staff noted upcoming district events including a STRIVE field trip and the Fridley Lions Holiday Luncheon. The consent agenda — which included minutes, financial reports, personnel items and the American Indian Education Aid Application and Program Plan — was approved without dissent. The meeting adjourned at 8:22 PM.
