Lynnette Redington, Health Department Director, presented a draft proclamation declaring Harvey County a Community Supporting Breastfeeding Plus, saying revisions were being finalized and the item would be presented for consideration next week. Redington also reported there was a recent Drug Court graduation and two more graduations scheduled for Thursday.
Commissioner Becky Reimer said she "supports breastfeeding but has concerns about the ideology of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition" as referenced in the draft and asked the commissioners to review and submit edits to Redington before final consideration.
