Tramarczyk urged the city and county to adopt tougher criminal penalties and fines for animal abuse and asked that Flagler County Sheriff’s Office animal control responsibilities be reviewed. She also asked council to advance a joint workshop with the county to accelerate plans for a new shelter. Council responded they would follow up with county partners and directed staff to coordinate the proposed joint meeting.
