SAO Program Manager Alisha Shaw and colleagues reviewed auditor and management responsibilities, data-security expectations, and reporting levels for findings, management letters and exit items.
SAO provided estimated engagement costs: $7,900 for the compliance examination, $32,700 for the financial-statement audit, and an overall estimate referenced on slides of about $40,600 if additional services or travel are required. The office said reports are expected to be published in August 2026 and that the county will receive an opportunity to respond to any findings; Jessica Jensema was named as the county audit liaison. The presentation also highlighted SAO resources such as the Center for Government Innovation and the Financial Intelligence Tool (FIT).
