Board adopts policy updates and accepts Business Services report

Deputy Superintendent Dr. Joshua Randall presented policy updates aligning district documents with CSBA sample language: BP/AR 3400 (Management of District Assets/Accounts), AR/BP 5116.1 (Intradistrict Open Enrollment) and AR/BP 5117 (Interdistrict Attendance). The Board approved each policy update by unanimous voice vote.
The Board also approved Business Services Report #25-15 (motion: Mrs. Jellings; second: Mrs. Weinstein). Trustees provided brief correspondence and community updates: Mr. Chase announced an SCV Trustees meeting on Sept. 29 hosted at Valley View Community School and asked trustees to RSVP by Sept. 23; Mrs. Jellings noted a community nomination and volunteer interest; Mrs. MacDonald reported on a Back-to-School Night fundraiser.
The meeting moved to closed session at 8:26 p.m. for personnel, labor negotiations, property negotiations and potential litigation, and adjourned at 10:14 p.m.
