Buckholtz also described American Indian education activities since the school year began, including a sage harvest at the school forest, 7th grade English curriculum on American Indian history and boarding schools, attendance at a Native American health fair, a musical/storytelling visit on Indigenous Peoples Day, powwow attendance in Detroit Lakes, students enrolled in college-credit classes and a team preparing banners depicting the seven gifts. Local donors and volunteers are supporting facility and uniform needs for youth sports.
