The Board approved a consent agenda that included multiple community donations and staffing agreements. Donors listed for Hope Squad, Robotics and Trades class together totaled $16,150: donors included Nevis Lumber, Isaacson Veterinary, Nevis C&C, Nevis Volunteer Fire Department, Lindow Plumbing, Omaha Community and the Nevis Lions Club. The consent item also included work agreements for educational assistants and a contract for an assistant school readiness teacher, plus a request for an overnight music field trip to Florida in March 2026 (dates to be determined).
The consent agenda recorded personnel changes: the resignation of Jaclyn Dunham as assistant cook effective Sept. 2, 2025; and the resignation of Thomas Ahrendt as 7-12 math teacher effective Nov. 7, 2025 with a rehire effective Nov. 10, 2025 so he may begin receiving retirement benefits through TRA. The board approved cooperative athletic agreements with Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (W-H-A), Park Rapids, Menahga and Nevis for wrestling and boys hockey for the 2025โ2026 season. Motion carried unanimously.
