Minnewaska board approves Abstract of Votes and authorizes certificates of election

At a Nov. 14 special meeting the board unanimously approved the Abstract of Votes Cast for ISD 2149 and approved a resolution directing the clerk to issue certificates of election and perform other election-related duties.
The Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the Abstract of Votes Cast for ISD 2149 from the Nov. 5, 2024 State General Election, accepting the compilation "as compiled from the Official Returns."
Following approval of the abstract, the board adopted a resolution authorizing issuance of certificates of election and directing the School District Clerk to perform other election-related duties. The certificate-resolution motion was made by T. Reichmann and seconded by Chairperson Chad Barsness; the roll call vote was recorded as all present voting aye. "Motion by T. Reichmann, seconded by Barsness, to the resolution authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Clerk to Perform other Election- Related duties," the minutes state.
The action assigns the district clerk responsibility for preparing election certificates and related administrative tasks following certification.
