Nevis School Board approves August financials and $96,043.56 in payments

Vice-Chair Dave McGee called the Board of Independent School District 308 to order at 7:00 p.m. and the board approved the meeting agenda, then voted to accept financial reports presented by Superintendent Seykora showing a cash balance at the end of August of $2,270,811.71 and payment of claims in the amount of $96,043.56. "The Payment Register and payment of claims were approved in the amount of $96,043.56.00," the record shows.
Board members voted unanimously on the motions to approve the agenda and the financial reports. The approvals keep routine district operations funded and establish the financial baseline the board will use when considering upcoming budget items, including the preliminary levy approved later in the meeting.
