The Carbon Hill Board approved the Jan. 6, 2026 regular meeting minutes (motion by Trustee Charlie Shain; Trustee Nicole Shain abstained) and approved the Feb. 3, 2026 Treasurer's Report (motion by Trustee Laura Emling), which passed 5-0. The minutes record attendance and roll-call voting details, including Trustee Lori Togliatti's absence.
Under old business the minutes note that the Grundy County Sheriff's Department did not appear to provide the scheduled monthly update. Department reports recorded that Maintenance (Charlie Shain) spoke with Jeff Veronda about new faucets for the park bathrooms; Park (Jules Harper/Lori Togliatti) noted a pothole at 5th and Rathburn; and Mayor Adam Johnson said a village truck needs service. Several department positions reported "None" or were not present, including Attorney Chris Dearth (none) and Water Clerk Mary Jane Larson (not present).
