Board authorizes committee to finalize East Moline water connection and allows emergency contracts

The Carbon Cliff Board authorized the Public Properties & Works Committee to review and approve plans, associated costs and awards of bids needed to finalize the village's connection to East Moline and to upgrade the Silvis connection for future use of Moline water.
Separately, the board authorized Director Nick Gottwalt to execute any emergency contracts associated with that project. Both authorizations were included in the consent agenda and approved by a 4–0 roll-call vote with two trustees absent. The items give the committee and Director Gottwalt delegated authority to move procurement and emergency work forward as needed.
