District to use ground-penetrating radar at Thomas School to probe foundation issues

According to the administrative report, “we are working with GPRS, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC to use sonar technology to determine what the conditions are underneath the foundation. Since the committee meeting, I have been informed that the company will be on-site on Tuesday March 31st to do a walkthrough of the property and get an idea of where to begin the sonar testing.” The report also notes that J&L Robinson is scheduled to shore up shifts in one room later in the week.
The update did not include a timeline for permanent repairs; district staff said findings from the GPRS testing will inform next steps.
