Assistant Superintendent Michelle Martin reported that the curriculum office and CMS math teachers reviewed middle‑school math options and recommended renewing McGraw‑Hill Reveal Math for grades 6–8. “The result of this review is the recommendation to renew McGraw‑Hill Reveal Math for 6th – 8th grades,” Martin said.
On a motion from John Major, seconded by Tangela Oliver, the board voted to approve the purchase of Reveal Math in the amount of $63,584.40 for use beginning in the 2026–2027 school year; Martin said grant funds will be used for the purchase. The roll call vote was recorded as yes by Hunt, Field, Cawthon, Major, McHenry and Oliver; member Greer was absent.
The district indicated the curriculum adoption is for a six‑year term and the Star benchmark and other assessments will continue to inform instruction and improvement planning.
