District staff reviewed the 2025 California School Dashboard, describing TK–6 performance measures such as student growth, equity and other state/local criteria. Mrs. Julie McBride announced Winter Choir Concerts scheduled Dec. 11, 15 and 16 at various school MPRs. Board members who attended the CSBA Annual Education Conference shared takeaways, including sessions on Proposition 98, collective bargaining and artificial intelligence in schools. Superintendent Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi thanked the California Credit Union for its partnership and staff recognition efforts.
At 8:18 PM the Board adjourned the public meeting to closed session to discuss personnel matters (Gov. Code §54957), labor negotiations (§54957.6), property negotiations (§54957.8) and potential litigation (§54956.9). Mrs. Jellings left closed session at 8:25 PM; the public meeting was adjourned at 9:45 PM (final adjournment motion passed 4-0). The minutes do not record the substance of closed-session discussions.
