Caldwell Flores Winters Executive Vice President Khushroo Gheyara, Deputy Superintendent for Business Services Dr. Joshua Randall and Superintendent Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi presented an update on the District's Facilities Master Plan at the Nov. 19 Sulphur Springs Union School District Governing Board meeting. They described completed and ongoing work including roof repairs, parking-lot and playground asphalt repairs, inclusive-playground improvements and preparations for the new Skyline Ranch Community School.
The presenters said the District continues to pursue State aid funding and highlighted a recent refinancing of Measure CK bonds, which they reported "generated over $3 million in savings for taxpayers." The Board thanked CFW and staff for the update and noted their appreciation that the refinance produced district savings that should reduce taxpayer burden.
