Four Sulphur Springs schools earn 2025 California Honor Roll recognition

Superintendent Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi announced that Golden Oak, Leona Cox, Pinetree and Fair Oaks Ranch Community Schools earned 2025 California Honor Roll recognition from the Educational Results Partnership (ERP).
ERP bases Honor Roll selection on objective student outcome data from the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), looking for consistently high achievement, improvement and evidence of closing achievement gaps. According to the presentation, 1,834 schools statewide—about 21% of California schools—earned Honor Roll recognition for 2025.
Dr. Kawaguchi and the Board presented each school’s principal with a plaque and banner to acknowledge staff efforts to accelerate student learning in reading, writing and mathematics. The district encouraged the community to congratulate the schools for the recognition and celebrate their instructional gains.
