At the Nov. 12 special meeting, contractor ICS presented an updated schedule and scope review for the Waterville‑Elysian‑Morristown Indoor Air Quality project. ICS stated that "construction documents should be ready by November 22, 2024," with a pre‑bid walk‑through planned by Dec. 3, 2024 and bids to be opened at the board's Dec. 19 meeting; Phase 1 construction was projected to begin in summer 2025.
ICS told the board the project is "currently running over budget ($312,677.39)" and said that during the construction‑document review phase it expects to tighten the design and align the plans with the district's budget for Phase 1. The review will include final selection of lighting and plumbing fixtures, coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, finish specifications and development of final bidding details.
