Board schedules site visitations; holds closed session on personnel and takes no action

Superintendent Barry D. Simpson reported that Williams visitations will begin the following week at Bishop Elementary, Home Street Middle School, Lo Inyo Elementary, Lone Pine High School and Big Pine schools. Simpson said he will visit each site with the respective district superintendents and present findings to the board at the November meeting.
Later in the meeting the board convened into closed session at 4:45 p.m. to discuss "Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release." The board reconvened to open session and the minutes state no action was taken in closed session. The meeting adjourned at 5:02 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Independence.
