The Inyo County Board of Education opened its Aug. 14, 2025 meeting at 1:12 p.m. and established a quorum. Trustee Jessica Tex moved to approve the agenda, Trustee Joe Profita seconded, and the motion carried 4-0. Later, Trustee Tex moved to approve the minutes from the June 24 meeting; Trustee Profita seconded and that motion also carried 4-0.
Trustee Joe Profita moved and Trustee George Lozito seconded a motion to convene into closed session at 2:35 p.m. to discuss "Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release." The board reconvened in open session at 2:40 p.m. on a motion by Profita seconded by Vice President David Hefner. The minutes state no action was taken during closed session. The meeting adjourned at 2:40 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 18, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at ICOE in Bishop.
