Sulphur Springs trustees approve consent calendar, extend piggyback bid and multiple consultant agreements

The Sulphur Springs Union School District Governing Board unanimously approved its Consent Calendar at the Sept. 24 regular meeting, passing the motion 5-0 after a motion by Clerk Shelley Weinstein and a second by Trustee Lori MacDonald.
Approved items included Conference Action Report #25-16 and Field Trip Action Report #25-16; Personnel Action Report #25-16; an extension of the Downey Unified School District piggyback bid (Contract #1695400) with an amended agreement term through June 30, 2026; consultant agreements with 2Teach Global and Cornerstone Photography; a professional development agreement and a consultant engagement with Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District for Valley View Community School; and a Scholastic Book Fairs agreement for Mint Canyon Community School. The board also approved the substitute salary schedule and the unrepresented certificated salary schedule adjustments included on the agenda.
The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote, recorded as DeFigueiredo-Aye, Weinstein-Aye, Chase-Aye, MacDonald-Aye, Jellings-Aye. The approvals were routine business to allow staff to proceed with contracted services and operational adjustments for the 2025-26 school year.
