District awarded $90,000 cybersecurity grant and earns GFOA reporting recognition

District staff told the board the district successfully applied for and received a $90,000 award from the California State and Local Cybersecurity Program to support four planned projects for the year. The presenter credited staff who worked on program materials and outreach.
"Back in November 2024, we applied for the California State and local cybersecurity program...but they're receiving the full, requested amount of $90,000," the presenter said. Separately, staff reported the district received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the seventh year in a row and thanked employees for their attention to detail in financial reporting.
