Staff says cell-tower leases provide revenue and operational benefits to district

"There is a benefit to the district, especially since we've gone to AMI, of having these cell towers within our service network that we're we're gaining from these cell towers going in also," a staff member (S2) said. The staff member said prior negotiations have sought both revenue and service benefits and that the district will develop a more formal structure to identify and manage existing leases and contracts. Board members discussed exploring opportunities to increase revenues while balancing service needs; staff noted several existing leases and said they would inventory and identify contract parties.
