Cascade SD 5 board delays appointment to vacant seat, schedules Nov. 25 work session

The board approved the Sept. 9, 2024 regular meeting minutes. Vice Chair Ruth Stevens moved to approve the minutes and Jon Remy Jr. seconded; the motion carried with all present voting yes (four votes recorded: Stegall, Stevens, Remy, Lee). No public comment was received on the vacancy at the meeting.
The decision to postpone the appointment leaves the seat open until the board reconvenes and narrows options at the scheduled Nov. 25 work session. The board listed the vacancy deliberation on its future agenda and instructed staff to prepare materials for that session.
