Summary
CFO Kristen Hoheisel asked the board to review FAC by‑laws and indicate whether the Board Treasurer alone should represent the board or whether the Treasurer plus two additional directors should serve; she also asked whether financial materials should go to FAC before the full board and requested feedback before the fiscal year end.

Kristen Hoheisel, the district's chief financial officer, asked the board to review the Financial Advisory Council bylaws and provide guidance on several points: whether the Board Treasurer alone should represent the board or whether the Treasurer plus two additional directors should serve; whether financial information should go to FAC for review first and then be brought to the full board with FAC feedback; and whether the FAC candidate application process should be adjusted. Hoheisel said the CFO has traditionally run the FAC and asked the board to provide feedback "prior to the end of the fiscal year."
Directors discussed membership and process options but did not take formal action during the study session. Hoheisel requested written direction to finalize FAC procedures; the minutes record that she asked for board feedback by the fiscal-year deadline so the FAC process can be confirmed for the coming year.
