The Gresham-Barlow board approved contracts with Perlo Construction for kitchen renovations at six schools in a not-to-exceed amount of $2,139,012.
Dennis Clague explained that nutrition services has continued excess operating funds and district policy permits capital spending to use those funds; equipment, flooring and electrical work are allowable uses. Board members asked how the six schools were selected; Clague said the work follows a two-year prioritization cycle and noted Perlo was the lowest bidder. The motion to approve the contracts (MOTION 113, moved by Holly Riegelmann and seconded by Mayra Gómez) carried unanimously. Board members requested Mr. Clague provide a detailed list of specific work to be performed at each site.
