The motion to adopt the guidelines was moved by Director Ronald “Jess” Hardin and seconded by Director Melissa Standley and passed unanimously.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Tasha Katsuda presented the transfer report and recommendations to the board, reviewing transfer types, timelines, and historical data. She recommended that the length of an approved transfer be set to the highest offered grade at Centennial and answered board questions about student supports, hardship request criteria, the impact of Centennial Virtual Academy on transfers, and criteria for revoking previously approved transfers. The board took no further amendments and approved the guidelines as presented.
