At the June 4 meeting Jamie Justice, identified in the minutes as the parent of a second grader at East Gresham Elementary School, addressed the board during public comment and expressed concerns about her son being bullied, harassed and experiencing bias.
Justice also read excerpts from the district safety handbook that she believes should have been applied in her son's situation. The minutes record that one written comment was received before the meeting, but they do not show a board response or an indicated next step. The board did not take action during the meeting on the specific allegation.
