Facilities update: completed projects, Science Camp start and School Art Day set

Kristin Loven, Director of Facilities, provided an update on projects completed and in progress at Bishop Unified campuses and Owens Valley Unified. She also noted that Science Camp officially starts Oct. 13, 2025 (with smaller schools attending first) and that the first School Art Day is set for Oct. 30, 2025 at Round Valley School; Outdoor Education Lead Nicole Elgersma said she is looking forward to this year’s students.
The board recorded the schedule and project status as part of round‑table reports; no capital funding actions were taken at the Oct. 9 meeting. Trustees approved the 2026 meeting schedule and noted the January 2026 meeting will be held in Shoshone with a visit to Death Valley Unified Schools.
