North Bend board adopts 2025-26 budget committee calendar, announces two openings

The North Bend School District #13 Board of Directors unanimously adopted the 2025-26 Budget Committee calendar at its Dec. 12 meeting.
Director Dallas Petenbrink moved to adopt the calendar; Director Nathan McClintock seconded and the motion passed 7-0. The calendar sets the schedule for next year’s budget deliberations and public Budget Committee meetings.
Vice Board Chair Carol Yardley announced vacancies on the Budget Committee for Zones 3 and 7. Zone 3 is currently vacant; Zone 7 is presently held by Dina Laskey and both new terms will expire June 30, 2027. Interested residents must submit letters of interest to the district office at 1913 Meade Street or by email to info@nbend.k12.or.us by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025. The board expects to make appointments at its Feb. 9, 2025 regular meeting.
The action provides a schedule and an open application window for community members who want to serve on the Budget Committee during the 2025-26 budget cycle.
