During the Oct. 27 work session, Director Jenna Mejia asked whether transparency might be added as a third superintendent goal. Chair Bret Uptmor told the board the two current goals were approved before the newest members joined and that the superintendent evaluation scheduled for February 2026 will be the forum to discuss new goals.
Superintendent Nicole Albisu said she will continue to provide updates on her goals during the Superintendent Report at regular board meetings, and board members discussed options for sending clearer communications to the community about budgeting and cost-saving measures. No formal decisions were made at the work session.
