Ontario SD 8C adopts 2025-26 budget and three related resolutions unanimously

The Ontario School District 8C Board of Directors adopted the 2025-26 budget and unanimously passed three related resolutions at its June 30 meeting.
Director of Finance Devin Collins told the board that "the only adjustment that has been changed we last met with the Budget Committee, was the funding that was discussed earlier." The board opened a public budget hearing and received no public comment before moving to votes.
Director Matt Stringer moved to approve the budget documents for 2025-26; Director Blanca Rodriguez seconded. The board then voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 24-16 (adopting and appropriating the budget for 2025-26), approve Resolution 24-17 (imposing and categorizing the tax), and approve Resolution 24-18 (establishing ending fund balance policies for 2024-25). All motions recorded Uptmor, Blackaby, Rodriguez and Stringer as voting yes.
Board members said they anticipate additional resolutions in July and scheduled orientation and training for incoming board members as part of transition planning.
