North Clackamas board adopts consent agenda, approves student travel to Indianapolis

Chair Kathy Wai convened the North Clackamas School District Board of Directors at 6:31 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2024. The board approved the minutes of the Sept. 12 regular meeting after a motion by Vice Chair Jena Benologa and a second from Director Tory McVay; the motion passed unanimously, 7-0.
Director Glenn Wachter moved, and April Dobson seconded, a motion to adopt the consent agenda. The consent agenda included employment changes (licensed appointments, assignments, transfers, leaves and terminations), approval of the Board Protocols and Operating Agreements, declaration of two Budget Committee vacancies (positions 13 and 14) with plans to reappoint or open an application process, and travel permission for 12 students from Sabin-Schellenberg Professional Technical Center to Indianapolis, IN, Oct. 20–27, 2024. The motion passed unanimously, 7-0. The minutes for the Sept. 26 meeting were later approved Oct. 10, 2024.
The board did not record roll-call individual votes in the transcript beyond the unanimous 7-0 tallies for the motions noted. No amendments or dissent were recorded during the consent-agenda vote.
