Assistant Superintendent of Operations Brad Earl presented an enrollment and class‑size update comparing current fall enrollment to fall 2023. Earl explained how Average Daily Membership (ADM) and Average Daily Membership weighted (ADMw) funding is determined by the state and told the Board the district expects to see a budget amendment in November or December after state review of statewide data.
Superintendent Bret Champion said marketing of district choice schools contributed to the enrollment increases at Ruch Outdoor Community School and Innovation Academy; staff added a bus to transport students to Ruch. Directors reviewed elementary class‑size thresholds and identified a few classes approaching or exceeding the thresholds; staff outlined potential mitigation strategies and said they will return with options.
