Union, students and teachers urge transparency and staff involvement in superintendent search

Student Juanita Cazarez said that having someone students are already familiar with “would be amazing,” and middle school teacher Shelby Gagnon said she felt internal candidates should face the same process as external candidates and expressed concern about spending on a consultant while the district considers cuts.
The board closed public comment after the three remarks and resumed discussion on search logistics.
